New Haven Night Market Posters 2025
For the Oct. 10th poster I knew I wanted to really switch things up so I did a deeper dive myself on New Haven, CT. After attending the July Night Market with my wife, I felt newly inspired. New Haven is a mysterious and historic city, and I wanted to represent how the city really felt to me. I was inspired by 19th Century typography and Victorian layouts.
I was lucky to be selected to be one of the artists for the 2025 New Haven Night Market for the July and October event. The brief was fairly wide open, they asked me to interpret the night market through my own artistic lens and provided photos of past events. For the first poster, I was inspired by some old PC advertising art and went for a stippling approach, using my Dithering tool for the lighting elements.
